Director
I direct classical and contemporary theatre and opera, and I’ve devised dozens of original plays and musical parodies. My work is rooted in collaboration, bringing artists together to explore familiar stories in unexpected ways and create new work through imagination, experimentation, and play.
Voice and movement are central to my directing process. Drawing on a range of performance techniques, I encourage actors to explore character and text through their bodies, voices, and imaginations. In rehearsal, we experiment, ask questions, challenge assumptions, and discover possibilities that might not emerge through traditional text analysis alone.
I strive to create a rehearsal room where artists feel comfortable taking risks and contributing their own ideas. My role is to guide that exploration, bringing the discoveries of individual artists together into a shared vision that serves the story we’re telling.
